The Center for Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is a 28 bed unit specializing in the care of patients who have illnesses or injuries involving the bones, muscles, tendons or ligaments. This includes a special focus on joint replacement surgery, spinal surgery and sports related injuries. The nursing staff have been specially selected and/or trained to manage both orthopaedic and neurosurgical patients, delivering state-of-the-art nursing care that is as rich in compassion as it is in technology.
Our Camp Mercy Joint Replacement Program is a comprehensive approach to total joint replacement. In the weeks just prior to surgery, patients attend the Camp Mercy orientation class and receive extensive instructions in preparation for their surgery as well an important pre-habilitation exercise routine. Armed with this knowledge and a can-do attitude, our patients and their coaches arrive ready to work and play hard on the road to recovery.
