Critical Care Medicine
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is a 24 bed, interdisciplinary adult critical care unit. This unit cares for patients with any potentially life-threatening medical, surgical, neurological, or cardiac condition requiring continuous monitoring, increased nursing care hours, or a more intensive nurse-to-patient ratio. An interdisciplinary approach to patient care is provided by a team of registered nurses, patient care technicians, unit secretaries, montior technicians, hospitalists, intensivists and other allied healthcare providers specializing in critical care.
Visting hours for the ICU are from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and from 8:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. For your loved one's comfort, we suggest only two visitors at a time in the room. Limitations may exist for children under the age of 12. We suggest you check with your loved one's nurse for special considerations.
